About Leviathan Historical Fencing
Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) refers to martial arts of European origin, practiced as they were used throughout history. While there are limited surviving dedicated technical treatises before the 16th century, we are able to accurately study and train from that point onward from many different sources. Such treatises and manuals are studied, discussed and practiced at Leviathan Historical Fencing with an emphasis on technique, understanding, and application.
Leviathan focuses on invigorating curiosities, enriching knowledge, developing capabilities, and breathing life into a dying art.
